AIBC Annual Renewal of Registration Deadline, FAQ and Final Firm Information Update Reminder
Annual Registration Renewal invoices were emailed to registrants the week of November 20, 2017 – thank you to all of the architects, associates and firms who have already paid their fees. To date, over 35 per cent of registrants have already submitted their payments. The deadline for annual renewal of registration is February 1, 2018.  Read more.
AIBC 2018 AIBC Architectural Awards & Awards Jury Call for Entries Opens Today!
The AIBC is calling for submissions for the 2018 AIBC Architectural Awards Program. An esteemed jury consider candidates in four award categories: the Lieutenant-Governor of British Columbia Awards in Architecture; the Innovation Award; the Emerging Firm Award and the Special Jury Award. The application deadline for submissions is March 1, 2018. Read more.
AIBC City of Vancouver Building By-law Update Seminar
Join the City of Vancouver at the AIBC on February 7, 2018 for a lunchtime seminar on the recent and upcoming building by-laws changes. Learn firsthand from City of Vancouver staff on Vancouver Building By-law updates, floor area exclusion and Passive House relaxations. There will be a Q&A period as part of this lunchtime seminar, so please come prepared with questions. Lunch will be provided for attendees. Read more.
AIBC 3 Reasons to take the Advanced Code Knowledge Course
Offered jointly by the AIBC and Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia, the 2018 Advanced Code Knowledge Course will prepare participants for the coming changes in the BC Building Code, as it has been updated to include provisions from the 2015 National Building Code, which will be the basis for the new 2018 BC Building Code. AIBC Six Ways to Earn Your LUs before the June 30, 2018 Deadline
The AIBC’s Mandatory Continuing Education System (CES) two-year reporting period deadline of Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. is quickly approaching.
