AIBC Council Elections 2018/19 – Call for Council Member Nominations
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2018/19 AIBC Council. This is your opportunity to help shape the work of the body responsible for regulating the profession of architecture in B.C. on behalf of the public. Submission deadline is March 12, 2018. Read more.
AIBC 2018 AIBC Annual Conference Keynote Announcement
The AIBC is delighted to announce that Charles Walker, Director of world-renowned Zaha Hadid Architects, will kick off this year’s conference. Charles will speak to his work with Zaha Hadid Architects in relation to this year's conference theme of Spaces Between, as well as provide a critical evaluation of modern-day architecture. AIBC Bylaw Review: Proposed Suite of Administrative Bylaws 2018
The Bylaw Review Committee, supported by AIBC Council, is now consulting with members on a suite of ‘administrative’ bylaws. The suite is organized into four topic areas: Firms, Admission/Registration, Fees and Fines, and Chapters. Consultation for the proposed suite of Administrative Bylaws 2018 will run until April 19, 2018, with an in-person and online Consultation Session being held on Tuesday, March 6. AIBC Blueprint for Business Course is Back – Register Today!
Blueprint for Business is back on Friday, April 13, 2018! Recently updated, this popular course features refreshed content. Blueprint for Business can be taken as one of the elective course options as part of the requirements for registration through the Internship in Architecture Program, and is also suitable for any practitioner who wants to learn more about starting their own firm. Interested parties are encouraged to sign-up early as registration fills up quickly. Read more.
AIBC Call for Retired Architect AIBC Council Liaison Expressions of Interest
Expressions of Interest for the Retired Architect AIBC Council Liaison are now being accepted for the 2018/19 AIBC Council. Liaisons sit for a one-year term, in keeping with Council Policy 2.23: Role of the Council Liaisons. The application deadline is Friday, March 23, 2018. Read more.
