AIBC Transitions Ministries, Now Under Ministry of Attorney General

December 1, 2020

As of November 26, 2020, the AIBC is officially part of the Ministry of Attorney General. This was announced on December 1 in a letter from the Office of the Superintendent of Professional Governance (OSPG). Previously, the AIBC was under the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. The transition of ministries is consistent with the July 14 letter from the Government of British Columbia.

Please note the transition of ministries has no effect on registrants of the AIBC. At this time, there are no further details regarding the timing as to when the AIBC will be governed by the Professional Governance Act. The AIBC will continue to update registrants on the transition through the dedicated webpage, newsletter and Notices.

If you have any questions regarding the transition of ministries or the Professional Governance Act, please email pga@aibc.ca.
