One Month Left Until the CES Deadline of June 30, 2022

May 30, 2022

AIBC-registered architects, architectural technologists and intern architects are reminded that the AIBC Mandatory Continuing Education System (CES) 2020-2022 reporting period deadline is Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.

The primary objective of the CES bylaw is to require the ongoing professional development of all CES Participants. The requirement to comply with the CES is outlined in AIBC Bylaw 30.2.

CES Participants who do not earn and report the required Learning Unit (LU) requirement will face consequences of non-compliance. More information can be found under section 6.0 of Bulletin 80: Mandatory Continuing Education System (CES).

Review Your CES Transcript

To access your transcript, log into the AIBC Registrant Portal and select “Continuing Education System” from the left-hand side menu, and then select “Transcript” from the dropdown menu. CES Participants can identify if they have met their period requirements by the “completed” or “incomplete” label, which can be seen directly under the CES Period title.

Note that your CES requirements may be different depending on when you registered with the AIBC. We encourage individuals to log into their Registrant Portal to confirm their requirements, including their CES deadline.

Online Learning Opportunities

The AIBC provides a variety of resources and opportunities to help CES Participants fulfill their obligations every reporting period. These can be found in:

  • AIBC Events Calendar
  • Online Learning Opportunities Roundup (PDF)
  • Recognized Educational Provide Program

Keep in Touch

The AIBC professional services team is available to assist CES Participants. Should you have any questions about your CES requirements, contact us at professionaldevelopment@aibc.ca.
