As the regulator of the architectural profession in British Columbia, the AIBC establishes, monitors, and enforces standards of ethical and professional conduct for all AIBC Registrants: Architects, Architectural Firms, Intern Architects, Architectural Technologists, Retired Architects, and Temporary Licensees (Architects). Thomas Kenny Intern Architect AIBC made admissions, by way of a consent order, that he breached former AIBC Bylaw 30.2 and the rules established by council in AIBC Bulletin 80 (current AIBC Bylaws 5.10 and 5.11 and Professional Standard 3.6 in the AIBC Bylaws Schedule A: Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct) by failing to earn and report the required CES Learning Units and failing to pay the council-mandated fine by the specified deadline for the Fifteenth Reporting Period (reporting period: July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2022).
