At the discretion of council, a representative from each associate category (Intern Architect AIBC, Architectural Technologist AIBC, Retired Architect AIBC) may be invited to sit as a non-voting liaison of council.
Term of Office and Time Commitment
Liaisons sit on council for a one-year term, in keeping with Council Policy 2.23 Role of the Council Liaisons (PDF).
Council Liaisons are expected to attend the monthly scheduled meetings and planning sessions, held during regular work hours and are typically up to two hours in length. Council Liaisons are also encouraged to attend a variety of AIBC events throughout the year.
Council selects the Retired Architect AIBC representative from those who submit an expression of interest. The chairs of the Intern Architect Committee and Architectural Technologist Committee normally serve ex officio as liaisons to council and therefore an expression of interest process is not required.
Retired Architect Expressions of Interest
Expressions of Interest for the Retired Architect AIBC Council Liaison are now being accepted for the 2019/20 AIBC Council. Liaisons sit for a one-year term, in keeping with Council Policy 2.23: Role of the Council Liaisons (PDF).
Eligible candidates are asked to carefully review the package, which contains submission instructions, the Expression of Interest Form, as well as the Declaration Form.
Completed submissions must be received by the AIBC office time stamped before 4 p.m. on April 4, 2019.
