Please join us for an engaging and informative session about the daily life of the Building Official, and how best to achieve successful collaboration between all stakeholders on a project.
Drawing on 17 years of conducting Building Inspections, presenter and City of Surrey Building Official, Jon Milloy will share his experiences, both good and bad, in dealing with professionals, contractors, and clients. He will speak to best practices for conducting effective field reviews and some of the strange and unique scenarios he has encountered over the course of his career.

Jon is the Supervisor of Building Inspections for the City of Surrey. In his 21-year career as a Building Official, Jon has been a Plan Checker and Building Inspector for several municipalities. He has worked with Registered Professionals on numerous large projects and, in 2017, Jon successfully completed the Certified Professional program.
