Each year, the AIBC hosts events and programs for Registrants as well as the public.
Conference and PD Day: these two AIBC professional development events bring together architects, intern architects, architectural technologists, retired architects, and other members of the community to learn about new industry trends, technological advances and best practices. They are biennial events, with the AIBC Conference taking place on CES deadline years. PD Day takes places virtually on odd-numbered years, with AIBC Conference coinciding with the CES deadline on even-numbered years, in-person.
Induction & Retirement Ceremony: recognizes new Architects and Architectural Technologists, and those who are retiring from the profession.
Volunteer Recognition Program: through its Volunteer Recognition Program, the AIBC recognizes volunteers who have made exceptional contributions through volunteerism, to further the public-interest mandate of the Institute.
Scholarship & Bursary Program : The AIBC supports Intern Architects AIBC and students pursuing a career as an architect or architectural technologist by providing a selection of scholarships and bursaries.
Architectural Walking Tours: through its public walking tour program, the AIBC offered architectural perspectives of three Victoria and six Vancouver neighbourhoods. The Program is currently being reviewed, and not being offered.
