Eligibility
Award eligibility is open to non-architects and consideration is given to those individuals whose contributions are seen to have significantly advanced the development and standing of the profession. Areas of consideration may include innovation, creativity, education, research, publication and public service. Contributions by way of design excellence or service to the profession must be exceptional and sustained.
Nomination
Eligible candidates must be nominated by a minimum of five (5) Architects AIBC or associates in good standing. All submissions received are reviewed by the AIBC Registrar, with recommendations forwarded to AIBC Council for its consideration and nomination. Conferral of honorary membership requires a four-fifths vote of Architects AIBC present at the AIBC Annual Meeting. The deadline to submit a nomination is in the second week of February and will be updated annually in the nomination form.
