2025–2026 AIBC Board and Board Officers

CES Countdown: One Year Until June 30, 2026

CES Participants (Architects, Architectural Technologists, and Intern Architects) are reminded that the next mandatory CES reporting period deadline is June 30, 2026. This means there is just under one year to earn and report a total of 36 LUs, of which at least 16 must be Core, including two dedicated towards Indigenous Peoples Learning. Read more.

On-Demand Adaptable Dwelling Units Course

The 2024 BC Building Code (BCBC) – Adaptable Dwelling Units Course is now available on demand in the AIBC Course Portal. Presented in partnership with Construction Standards and Digital Solutions Branch, this course reviews the changes to Subsection 3.8.5. of the 2024 BC Building Code. Read more.

  • The Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes is seeking input on a draft policy direction to address embodied greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in new houses and buildings through future updates to the National Model Codes.
  • The Architecture Foundation of BC is now accepting project submissions and jury applications for the 2025 Architectural Awards of Excellence. The submission deadline is Friday, July 25, 2025.
