	E-Voting on Proposed Suite of Code of Ethics & Administrative Bylaws On Now AIBC Council approved the proposed suite of Code of Ethics & Administrative bylaws for member vote on July 9. The vote for this suite of bylaws is organized into six topic areas and will run until August 15. Members and honorary members are encouraged to cast their ballot. Read more.
	President's Message \| Sweeping Changes in Regulation Self-regulatory professional bodies in the province and across the country are under increasing political, public and media scrutiny. Attention has manifested in the form of reviews, audits and new legislation. 	Presentation Proposals for 2019 Fall PD Series Have you been involved in a unique architectural project? Want to share your expertise and knowledge? The AIBC invites you to submit a presentation proposal for the 2019 Fall Professional Development (PD) Series. The deadline to submit is Monday, August 12 at 5 p.m. Read more.
	Walk, Learn and Earn with AIBC's Architectural Walking Tours There is one month left of the AIBC's Summer Architectural Walking Tour season. Regularly scheduled tours only run until September 2 in Vancouver, and September 1 in Victoria. For CES Participants, walking tours earn 1 Non-core LU per hour. Read more.
	Recent Phishing Email Scam It has come to the AIBC’s attention that a fraudulent email is circulating amongst the architectural community from an individual who claims to be seeking an architect to design a new house. Read more.


AIBC 100

	Welcome to the 1940s! This month, we have unveiled the 1940s. In this decade, we see both endings and new beginnings for the architectural community in B.C. Explore this time period, as well as the 1930s, 1920s and the road to regulation on AIBC 100. Fast Fact: In 1942, 57 architects were registered with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, with 9 listed on active military duty.

Intern Architect Happenings
Applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2019 Oral Review. The deadline is August 20 by 4 p.m. Attend the free Oral Review Preparation Workshop on September 5.	Reminder: Starting January 1, 2020 AIBC Elective Courses will no longer be offered.
