2023/2024 AIBC Board and Board Officers

CES Countdown: One Year Until June 30, 2024

CES Participants (Architects, Architectural Technologists, and Intern Architects) are reminded that the next mandatory CES reporting period deadline is June 30, 2024. This means there is just under one year to earn and report a total of 36 LUs, of which at least 16 must be Core, including two dedicated towards Indigenous Peoples Learning. Read more.

Additional Sessions added to the Summer 2023 PD Series

As announced last month, the AIBC is hosting the Summer 2023 PD Series this July and August. Two additional sessions have been added to the event, and registration is open for all four sessions. Those who attend the full series have the opportunity to earn six Core Learning Units. Read more.

Updated AIBC Bylaws Now in Effect

The AIBC Bylaws have been updated, and are now in effect. Most of the amendments are minor in nature, although there are several updates of note regarding terminology, CES non-compliance, reinstatement, and information on the Register. Read more.

AIBC Happenings

Notarius, the AIBC's digital seal provider, has a limited time rebate on the digital signature subscription fees, until August 31, 2023.

The AIBC has transferred the Professional Service Awards to the Architecture Foundation of BC.

Intern Architect Happenings

ExAC registration is now open, with the application period closing on July 14, 2023. The deadline for experience submissions is June 30, 2023. More information can be found on the ExAC website.

Courses about the practice of architecture in Canada are available online through the Regulatory Organizations of Architecture in Canada. These are eligible for Core Learning Units, with four bundled courses offered at a reduced rate.
