Proposed Bylaw Amendments, Proposed New Professional Standards Consultation

Regulatory Review | Understanding the Use of the Architect’s Seal (Part 2)

Part 2 of the Regulatory Review on understanding use of the Architect's Seal is now available. The article addresses sealing in reference to specific documents, such as supplemental instructions, shop drawings, CAD files, and estimates, and discusses the use of the digital Seal. Read more.

Registration for the 2026 Certified Professional and Advanced Code Knowledge Courses

There are only a few seats remaining for the 2026 Certified Professional (CP) Course! Registration is also open for Advanced Code Knowledge (ACK) Course. Both the CP and ACK courses are based on the 2024 BC Building Code and the 2025 Vancouver Building By-law. Read more.

Annual Renewal Cycle

The Annual Renewal cycle is currently underway, with 2026 Fee Billing coming up in a few weeks. There are several updates and reminders for Registrants regarding the Annual Renewal, including the new option to view invoices in the Registrant Portal. Read more.

AIBC Happenings

  • The last session of the Fall 2025 PD Series, ‘Toward a Relationship-Based Approach to Design in Indigenous Communities’, is taking place on November 14. Registration closes on November 12.
  • There are only eight months remaining until the CES deadline of June 30, 2026. CES Participants must earn and report 36 Learning Units, of which 16 must be Core, before the deadline.
