2026 AIBC Board Election Call for Nominees Now Open

The Nomination Committee is now accepting nominee applications from
Architects AIBC for the 2026 Board election. The application deadline is
February 24, 2026, and all Architects AIBC in Good Standing are encouraged to get involved with the governance of the Institute. More information about the opportunity can be found on the AIBC website.

2026 Oral Exam Schedule Now Available

The 2026 Oral Exam Schedule is now available for Intern Architects AIBC and Broadly Experienced Applicant candidates on the AIBC website. The Oral Exams will be delivered both virtually (Winter/Fall) and in-person (Spring). Candidates are encouraged to review the Oral Exam Candidate Guidebook. Read more.

AIBC Volunteer Program Opportunities Available

The AIBC is currently seeking individuals for several volunteer opportunities, including Mentors and Oral Examiners. More information about the volunteer roles can be found on the AIBC website. Read more.

AIBC Session at BUILDEX Vancouver 2026

BUILDEX Vancouver 2026 is taking place on February 11 and 12, and the AIBC is jointly presenting the session “The Professional Seal: Authentication, Accountability, and Assurance” at the event. AIBC Registrants are eligible to receive a discount. Read more.

AIBC Happenings

  • The deadline for Annual Renewal Fees was February 1. If still unpaid, your registration is no longer in Good Standing, and your Fee has increased by 25 percent.
  • Notarius, the provider of digital seals to the Institute for Architects AIBC, has undertaken a rebrand and is now operating under the name “Portage CyberTech”.
