AIBC Canada and the European Union Sign Mutual Recognition Agreement
On October 26, 2018, representatives from the architectural regulatory authorities of Canada and the European Union signed a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA), giving architects the opportunity to work across the Atlantic. Danica Djurkovic, President of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, represented the AIBC. Read more.
AIBC Only Nine Days Left to Vote on the Proposed Suite of Council and Institute Governance Bylaws
AIBC Council approved the proposed suite of Council and Institute Governance bylaws for member vote on November 14, 2018. The voting period for the council-endorsed bylaws will commence on November 19, and continue until December 14 at 4 p.m. Members and honorary members are encouraged to cast their ballot. Read more.
AIBC 2019 AIBC Course Now Available for Registration!
The 2019 course schedule is now available for viewing and registration on the AIBC website. Please note that registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Spots fill up quickly – we recommend you register for courses you know you will attend as course cancellations are subject to a withdrawal fee. Read more.
AIBC 2019 CP Course Registration Deadline Extended
The 2019 Certified Professional Course is nearly full, but there are still a few spaces left! Registration has been extended to December 31, 2018. Don't miss out – this course will include material from the new 2018 BC Building Code and the upcoming 2019 Vancouver Building Bylaw. The CP Course was last offered in 2017. Register and read more.
