Legal Ruling Announced on Municipal Permitting Decision in Favour of AIBC
In June 2019, the AIBC initiated legal action against the City of Langford arising out of an illegal practice matter. The judgment in the City of Langford judicial review has now been released, and the AIBC was successful in having the declaration issued by the courts. Read more.

Register for the 2020 Certified Professional Update Seminar
Registration for the 2020 Certified Professional (CP) Update Seminar, presented by AIBC and Engineers and Geoscientists BC, is now open. The Seminar will focus on recent updates to the BC Building Code 2018, including Encapsulated Mass Timber, Elevator, Accessibility, and other new items now in force. This online session will take place on July 3 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration closes on June 30. Read more. |
