	Welcome, 2020/21 AIBC Council and Invited Liaisons The AIBC is pleased to announce the 2020/21 AIBC Council and Liaisons to Council. Council elected its officers for the 2020/21 council year at the first AIBC Council Meeting, which took place on May 12, 2020. Read more.
	Legal Ruling Announced on Municipal Permitting Decision in Favour of AIBC In June 2019, the AIBC initiated legal action against the City of Langford arising out of an illegal practice matter. The judgment in the City of Langford judicial review has now been released, and the AIBC was successful in having the declaration issued by the courts. Read more.
	Register for the 2020 Certified Professional Update Seminar Registration for the 2020 Certified Professional (CP) Update Seminar, presented by AIBC and Engineers and Geoscientists BC, is now open. The Seminar will focus on recent updates to the BC Building Code 2018, including Encapsulated Mass Timber, Elevator, Accessibility, and other new items now in force. This online session will take place on July 3 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration closes on June 30. Read more.
	AIBC Response to COVID-19: Important Information and Update Over the past several months, there have been many changes at the AIBC in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are committed to keeping registrants and the public informed, and there are several new updates we would like to share regarding the 101^st Annual Meeting, AIBC Offices, course offerings, and more. AIBC Happenings
The AIBC Design Panel Committee is seeking new members to represent the committee as liaisons for various municipalities. Amended Council Rules 1: Council Meetings approved. Save the Date: 101^st Annual Meeting taking place virtually on August 20, 2020.	Update \| Bulletin 60: Signature, Seal and Delivery of Electronic Documents. Chinese Language Edition now available for AIBC Document 8C – Standard Short Form Contract Between Client and Consultant and associated Practice Guideline.

Intern Architect Happenings
ExAC registration is now open. The application period closes on August 14, 2020.	Reminder: the mandatory Continuing Education System (CES) comes into effect for Intern Architects AIBC on July 1, 2020.
