2022 Annual Renewal of Registration

During the week of December 6, invoices for the 2022 Annual Renewal of Registration will be sent to registrants. AIBC Council has approved a nominal two percent increase for registrants and affiliates. The deadline for annual renewal of registration is February 1, 2022. Read more.

AIBC Registrant Portal Now Available

The new AIBC Registrant Portal is now live! Registrants will have received an email on December 1 with important information about account activation. While a limited selection of Portal functions are currently available, registrants are encouraged to explore the new system. Read more.

Professional Governance Act Transition Update

Work continues with the AIBC's transition to the PGA, including updating the Code of Ethics. Read more.
Did You Know? Under the PGA, the AIBC's bylaws must include an updated Code of Ethics that contain 12 ethical principles established by the legislation, in addition to standards specific to the profession.

New Guide to Letters of Assurance Now Available

The new Guide to the Letters of Assurance in the BC Building Code 2018 and Vancouver Building By-law 2019 is now available. The document was published by Building and Safety Standards Branch, and was developed in consultation with AIBC, Engineers and Geoscientists BC, and Building Officials' Association of BC. Read more.

Seven Months Left Until the CES Deadline

There are only seven months left until the Continuing Education System deadline of June 30, 2022! CES Participants are encouraged to become familiar with the recently launched AIBC Registrant Portal, which features a new CES interface, given the upcoming CES deadline. Read more.
