2023 Firm Update, Registrant Information Update

The 2023 Firm Update concluded on September 30. Nearly 15% of firms still need to complete this regulatory requirement. In preparation for the 2024 Annual Renewal Cycle, the AIBC is also asking Registrants to update their individual profile information. Read more.

Conference 2024 Call for Submissions: Less than Two Weeks Left

There is less than two weeks remaining to submit a presentation proposal for AIBC Conference 2024: Act. If you are interested in speaking, participating in a panel discussion, or facilitating a workshop at the event, we invite you to complete the submission form by October 16. Read more.

2024 Certified Professional and Advanced Code Knowledge Courses Registration Now Open

Registration is open for both the 2024 Certified Professional Course and the Advanced Code Knowledge Course. The courses are based on the new 2023 BC Building Code, which is expected to be implemented in December 2023, and the 2019 Vancouver Building By-law. Read more.

Post-Disaster Building Assessment Training Workshop

There are only a few days left to register for the Post-Disaster Building Assessment Training Workshop, which is being held virtually on October 12 and 19. The workshop will prepare participants to perform rapid post-disaster building assessments. Registration closes on October 10. Read more.

Serve on a Municipal Advisory Design Panel

The AIBC invites Architects AIBC to submit an application to serve on a municipal advisory design panel. This is a great opportunity to get involved with your community and help shape the projects and policies affecting the built environment in British Columbia. In this role, architects provide insight and feedback on design, urban planning, and zoning matters. Read more.
