The AIBC is pleased to offer a complimentary webinar on October 11, which will be presented by the City of Vancouver. The webinar is titled “New City of Vancouver Rainwater Management Requirements for Part 3 Buildings – What You Need to Know“, and will cover upcoming policy changes regarding on-site rainwater management. The webinar is tailored to cover areas specifically relevant to architects.
On-site rainwater management will be required for new Part 3 buildings (excluding residential buildings with up to 8 dwelling units) in the City of Vancouver as of January 1, 2024. This seminar will summarise what architects, engineers, developers, consultants, and contractors need to know. Notably, there will be a streamlined approval process, and rainwater management plans or covenants will no longer be required. The seminar will also address implications to “in-stream” applications, and will include a question and answer session. Learn more at vancouver.ca/rainwater.
The presentation will be presented by Christopher Radziminski, Building Policy Engineer, P.Eng., R.P.Bio. and Phillip White, Manager, Plumbing and Mechanical Inspections
