AIBC Conference 2024 Registration Now Open!

Registration is now open for the 2024 AIBC Conference: Act! Taking place from April 22–24 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, the event features nearly 30 professional development sessions, including keynote speakers, a plenary presentation, and the much-anticipated movie night! Attendees can earn up to 17.25 Core LUs. Read more.

BC Building Code Professional Development Opportunities

With the 2024 BC Building and Plumbing Code coming into effect on March 8, 2024 and the adaptable dwellings and earthquake design changes on March 10, 2025, the AIBC is delivering a number of professional development opportunities on the code, some of which are already underway. Read more.

Less than Four Months until June 30 CES Deadline

There are less than four months remaining until the CES deadline of June 30, 2024. CES Participants are encouraged to review their transcripts in the Registrant Portal to confirm their LU requirements, and to see how many LUs they have earned for the 2022–2024 reporting period. Read more.

AIBC Volunteer Program Opportunities Available

The AIBC Volunteer Program supports Registrants and members of the public in advancing the mandate of the AIBC and the architectural profession in British Columbia. The AIBC is currently seeking individuals for several volunteer opportunities, including Oral Exam Panelists. Read more.

  • A new climate action webpage and resource document are now available on the AIBC website.
  • Save the date! Registration will open soon for the Spring Post-Disaster Building Assessment Training Workshop, which is taking place on May 9 and 16.
  • The AIBC is hosting a PD Series this summer. Those interested in presenting are invited to submit their presentation ideas through the AIBC’s general Call for Submissions form.
