A new climate action webpage and resource document are now available on the AIBC website.
The Professional Governance Act requires that Registrants hold paramount the safety, health, and welfare of the public, including the protection of the environment. The AIBC is providing resources for Registrants to support their meeting of these obligations.
New Climate Action Webpage
For many years, the AIBC has been taking action as a regulator on matters related to sustainability, climate action, and the protection of the environment.
The new climate action webpage contains a range of information for Registrants, including sustainability resources, upcoming learning opportunities, and a “what’s next” section. A new email address has also been created, climateaction@aibc.ca, for feedback on climate action.
New Climate Action Resource Document
The webpage also features a new “Climate Action Resources” document, which includes more than 60 resources on climate and sustainability, as they relate to the practice of architecture. The document is not an exhaustive list, and the AIBC will continue to add new resources as they become available. Registrants are also encouraged to send additional material to the AIBC at climateaction@aibc.ca.
If you have any questions about the climate action resource document or new webpage, please email climateaction@aibc.ca.
