Register for the BC Building Code 2018 Update Sessions
The Architectural Institute of British Columbia and Engineers and Geoscientists BC have partnered to develop two full-day sessions on the new BC Building Code, which came into effect on December 10, 2018. Interested parties can register for one or both days, with early bird rates available until February 8 for Day One, and February 22 for Day Two. Remote access will be available to those who are not able to attend in-person. Read more. |

Save the Date – AIBC Centenary Reception
The AIBC will celebrate 100 years of regulating the profession of architecture in British Columbia with a Centenary Reception on May 6, 2019 – the kick off to a year of initiatives recognizing the Institute’s decades of regulation. The celebratory event will take place immediately following the 100th Annual Meeting, at the Vancouver Convention Center West. The AIBC has an opportunity for a motivated individual who is up for a rewarding role. We are seeking a full-time (open to part-time) Practice Advisor to join our dynamic and collaborative team. Reporting to the Manager of Professional Services, this position plays an important role within the Institute and will appeal to those who have a strong interest in professional regulation, the practice of architecture, and interpreting related legislative documents. Celebrate Family Day with an Architectural Walking Tour!
The special Family Day Architectural Walking Tours of Gastown and Downtown are back this February 18! Participants will explore the streets of Vancouver and learn more about the buildings that make up the fabric of the city. The tour of Gastown will be held at 10 a.m. and the Downtown tour at 1 p.m. For CES participants, walking tours earn 1 Non-core LU per hour. Read more. |
