Code of Ethics Part II – Consultation Session & Feedback Form
The BRC, supported by AIBC Council, is now consulting on the second phase of the Code of Ethics bylaw amendments – this suite of bylaws is divided into five subject areas. Consultation will run until February 28, with an in-person and online session being held on February 11. Register and read more.

Council Rules 8: Terms and Conditions for Mandatory Professional Liability Insurance – Notification Period
On January 20, 2020, AIBC Council approved, in principle, proposed amendments to Council Rules 8: Terms and Conditions for Mandatory Professional Liability Insurance (“PLI”). Registrants are encouraged to submit feedback during the Notification Period, which runs until February 24, 2020. Read more. |

Post-Disaster Building Assessment Training Workshop
Taking place on February 21, 2020, the AIBC is hosting a one-day Post-Disaster Building Assessment (PDBA) Training Workshop. The workshop will include an introduction to earthquakes, with an overview of the different levels of response and ways building design professionals can help. Regulatory Review | AIBC Communications
Effective communication is key in ensuring the Institute upholds its public-interest mandate, and that registrants understand and comply with professional standards and regulatory requirements. This Regulatory Review will provide an overview of the communication methods utilized at the AIBC, as well as an update on the results of the 2019 AIBC Communication Survey that was distributed late last year.
