CES Countdown – 12 Months Until the June 30, 2022 Deadline
Continuing Education System (CES) Participants – AIBC-registered architects, architectural technologists and intern architects – are reminded that the next AIBC mandatory CES reporting period deadline is June 30, 2022. This means that CES Participants have just under one year to earn and report a total of 36 Learning Units (LUs), of which at least 16 LUs must be Core. Read More. |

BC Court of Appeal Confirms Langford Decision
The BC Court of Appeal recently dismissed the appeal by the City of Langford of a 2020 Supreme Court ruling that confirmed the requirement of an architect on a mixed-use, multi-family dwelling. The Court of Appeal issued its judgment on June 30, 2021. The AIBC will continue to work with local governments in furtherance of our shared public protection mandate. Read more. |
