Registration is now open for AIBC Conference 2026! Taking place from May 25–27 at the Vancouver Convention Centre West, the event features 30 professional development sessions, including keynote speakers, plenary presentations, and the much-anticipated movie night. Updated Regulatory Review on Registrants’ Marketing and Promotional Materials

Regulatory Review | Staying Ahead in Compliance – Registrants’ Marketing and Promotional Materials has been republished and updated to include a new section on the requirement of including Firm designation status (such as Corp., Ltd., and Inc.) on all communication and correspondence. Read more.

Registration Now Open for 2026 Post-Disaster Building
Assessment (PDBA) Workshop

The AIBC is hosting the 2026 PDBA Training Workshop virtually on April 23 and 30. Taking place over two half-days, the workshop will prepare
participants to perform rapid post-disaster building assessments.

Proposed Amendments to the AIBC Bylaws and Professional Standards

This is a notification about proposed amendments to the AIBC Bylaws, including improvements to Professional Standards. An overview of the amendments can be found on the AIBC website. Registrants are invited to provide feedback by March 31, 2026. Read more.

Canada-EU Mutual Recognition Agreement Now in Effect

After many years, the Canada–European Union Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) for Architects is now in effect. The Canada-EU MRA recognizes the equivalence of architectural education and professional experience across participating jurisdictions. Read more.
