New Oral Review Process Coming in 2022
In 2020, the AIBC began the Oral Review Project, which included exploring the feasibility of administering the Oral Review online and in-person, as well as examining how to strengthen the principles of fairness, validity, and reliability, in both delivery methods. The project is nearing completion, and a new and improved Oral Review process will be introduced in late 2022. Read more. |

New AIBC Registrant Portal Launching on December 1
The AIBC has been working on the new registrant portal project, which replaces the current registrant database system. Much progress has been made, and the AIBC is delighted to share that its new portal will be launching on Wednesday, December 1. Read more. |

Eight Months Left until the CES Deadline
With November upon us, there are only eight months left until the Continuing Education System deadline. By June 30, 2022, CES Participants are required to earn and report 36 Learning Units, of which a minimum of 16 must be Core. Professional Governance Act Transition
Bylaw consultation for the Professional Governance Act transition will begin in the coming months. The AIBC encourages registrants to be actively engaged in the process and provide feedback. Read More.
Did You Know? Unlike the Architects Act, under the PGA, bylaw voting authority only resides with AIBC Council. This means that registrants will no longer be able to vote on bylaws; however, registrants can still participate in the review process by providing feedback during the consultation period. |
