Engineers and Geoscientists BC – Online Workshop: Joint Professional Practice Guidelines – Encapsulated Mass Timber Construction up to 12 Storeys

This online workshop will provide a more in-depth look at the Joint Professional Practice Guidelines – Encapsulated Mass Timber Construction up to 12 Storeys. These new guidelines were published on March 30, 2021, and were prepared jointly by Engineers and Geoscientists BC and the Architectural Institute of BC (AIBC). The workshop will be broken into a series of 20-30 minute segments where the presenters will discuss the key professional practice and technical considerations of their respective disciplines. These discipline-specific segments will be complemented with two panel discussions, featuring multiple disciplines. The panel discussions will focus on collaboration and coordination, clash detection, general construction considerations, and construction fire safety.
