AIBC Notice to Architects Providing CRP Services
Engineers and Geoscientists BC have an important message to share with AIBC registrants regarding new regulatory requirements for Letters of Assurance. It is good practice for architects coordinating engineers to request compliance with Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s regulatory requirements. Please note that the AIBC Certificate of Practice procedures remain unchanged. Read more.
AIBC Professional Governance Act Transition: Next Steps
The next phase of the Professional Governance Act transition is bylaw consultation. In the coming months, registrants will learn more about new and proposed bylaw amendments through a multi-phased bylaw review. While there will be no voting, the AIBC encourages registrants to be engaged in the process and provide feedback. Read More.

AIBC Registration Open for Fall Professional Development Series
The Fall Professional Development Series is back! The series will feature a variety of topics that are highly relevant to today’s architectural practice, including designing a successful architecture firm, facades for tall wood buildings, and the latest in elevator code changes. Up to 6 Core LUs are available for CES Participants who attend all four sessions. Read more.
AIBC 2021 Annual Firm Information Update Complete
The 2021 Annual Firm Information Update began on September 2 and concluded on September 30. Over 90 percent submitted their firm information update by the deadline – thank you to those who completed this important regulatory requirement. Approximately five percent of Firm Administrators still need to confirm or update the information in their firm profiles. Read more.
