Timeline Update: Professional Governance Act Transition

The AIBC's transition to the Professional Governance Act (PGA) is taking longer than originally anticipated. The completion of the transition has been delayed until the second half of 2022 as the government makes amendments to the PGA itself, to allow for designation of new regulatory bodies. Read more.

2022 AIBC Conference Update: Switches to Online Only

Given the current circumstances and uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, the AIBC has made the decision to hold the 2022 Conference virtually. The event will still take place from May 2-4, and will offer three days of learning and networking opportunities - although it will be fully hosted online. Read more.

AIBC Governance Sessions Registration Now Open

Are you an AIBC volunteer or interested in joining AIBC Council? Attend a Governance Session! The first online session will be hosted on March 9, and is open to all AIBC registrants and current volunteers. The session will provide attendees with an overview of the Institute's governance, the role of the regulator, and fiduciary responsibilities. Read more.

Implementing Approaches for Better Indoor Air Quality

This Regulatory Review will provide an overview of what architects should consider, when designing buildings of all types, to achieve better indoor air quality. This matter has become increasingly important over the past several years, with the prevalence of airborne viruses, wildfire smoke and urban smog, and overheating. Read more.

  • The PDBA Workshop is sold out! Email professionaldevelopment@aibc.ca to be notified of future offerings.
  • BUILDEX 2022 has been postponed until March 23 and 24. The Institute is a lead supporting organization, and AIBC registrants are eligible to receive a discount. There are many learning opportunities available.
