BOABC Spring Conference and Annual Meeting
The 61st Building Officials’ Association of B.C. (BOABC) Spring Conference and AGM is scheduled to take place May 15-18, 2016 at the River Rock Casino Resort. Included in the Conference is a 5-day Level 3 Study Session which will take place from May 17-21, 2016.
There are a varied set of presentations this year, together with an opportunity to take a two-day study course on Level 2 Plumbing Code and a five-day training course on Level 3 Building Code. Presenters from BSSB will be hosting a session on ‘How the Building Act Affects You.’ Other sessions include Field Review Reports, Schedules and Comfort Letters, R-22 Walls and Insulating for the Future, Air and Vapour Barriers – Design Considerations and Installation for Part 9 Buildings, CCMC Evaluation of Products, EIFS, Role of the Building Official in the Construction of Part 3 Buildings. BOABC member Ken Kunka will be moderating a Brain Storming Session for inspectors and managers.
