This course examines the administration of the contract including the contractual relationships between owner, contractor, and consultants. Please be familiar with relevant forms of agreement noted above and related sections of the Canadian Handbook of Practice.
At this course, you will receive up-to-date information regarding your responsibilities as an architect with respect to: construction contracts and contract documents; including obligations under CCDC 2 (1994), CCAC 6 (1997) and the BC Government Stipulated Price Construction Contract. You will be apprised of the principles of architectural specifications and the significance of their contribution to the contract documents and learn about the implications of various project delivery methods, including “design/build.”
