EGBC – Climate Resilience Training Program for Building Sector Professionals

The Climate Risk Institute (CRI) in collaboration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia , developed the course which provides a knowledge foundation for the use of climate risk assessment and climate resiliency measures for the planning, design, and construction of Part 3 buildings. The Development of a Climate Resiliency Training Program for Building Sector Professionals project is funded by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).

The course marks the first consolidated Canadian body of training focused on capacity building and climate upskilling for the use of climate resiliency measures by buildings sector practitioners. The content is tailored for practitioners involved in the planning, design, and construction of Part 3 buildings (larger buildings exceeding 600 m2 in area or exceeding three storeys in height). The course will be of interest to engineers, architects, building scientists, planners, policy makers, and procurement specialists.
