Langara College – Development Application Process, PROP 1066

This course gives a practical introduction to the application and review process for property developments in Vancouver and adjacent municipalities. The course includes: (1) a description of the provincial and municipal planning and development review framework as defined by federal, provincial, and municipal law and regulation; (2) a step-by-step examination of the development application review process; and (3) actual examples of successful and unsuccessful development applications. Emphasis is placed on due diligence and advance preparation.
