Permacity: A Roadmap to Zero-Emission
This session is part of AIBC’s 2020 Fall Professional Development Series
Since the Passive House standard is mandatory for all new buildings in Belgium, A2M is now thinking about the crucial next step: how can we achieve carbon neutrality in our cities? And beyond that, how can we conceive a town where each element contributes to a regenerating permanent cycle? This session will discuss how to achieve a carbon free project and identify carbon free strategies in the conception stage of a project. An overview of high-performance projects in Vancouver will be included along with a discussion on the zero-emission strategies and targets that BC is facing to achieve their commitment to make buildings net-zero energy by 2032 (BC Energy Step Code).
