This session will examine the distinction between change orders and change directives, the architect’s role in administering each, common sources of disputes, and best practices for documenting decisions and communications. Participants will leave with an understanding of how to identify and manage changes, when formal documentation is required, how to approach disputed pricing or schedule impacts, and how architects can help preserve the integrity of the contract administration process.
