RAIC – Modern Practice: Standard of Care Considerations

The first webinar of the Series “Resilient Architect: Law and Practice” is titled “Modern Practice: Standard of Care Considerations”. The standard of care is a legal term used to describe the duties owed by professionals, such as architects, in performance of their professional obligations. A person or company can be held responsible for damage and harm caused to others when they fail to meet the standard of care and thus could be made to compensate victims. This course will consider factors impacting the interpretation of standard of care, elevated standard of care in terms of contracts, and examples of good vs bad standards of care. The webinar will be led by three industry experts, Jennifer Roberts, Annik Forristal, Lena Wang, and moderated by Andrea Lee.
