Solar PV and storage are cross-disciplinary building elements whose fundamental impacts to multiple building systems (structural, electrical, mechanicals, roofing, and envelope) merit careful design stage review. This 1-hour workshop will support architectural design teams in navigating the cascading impacts of PV integration, solar array layouts, equipment selections, and utility interconnection requirements. Emphasis will be on collaborative design workflows that consider solar PV and storage early in the project cycle to reduce risk and improve outcomes. Case studies will be used to showcase best practices.
