Space Syntax in Urban Design and Architecture

July 19, 2023 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Space Syntax in Urban Design and Architecture is part of the Summer 2023 Professional Development Series.

The presentation will provide an overview of the origin, history and application of space syntax methodology and praxis in a day-to-day consultancy context. It will include an introduction describing key theory and principles, followed by international case studies at regional, city, development and building scales. A focus will be on evidence-based analysis and modelling of the built environment and how this can be used to support sustainability outcomes.
