Buildings of exceptional merit, if they are to receive recognition as works of architecture, must be photographed and published. Photography, in this respect, is intrinsic to the culture of architecture. Building Images focuses on the craft of architectural photography, where participants will have the opportunity to photograph a building together with Michael Perlmutter, a professional architectural photographer living in Stockholm, Sweden. This will be combined with lectures and demonstrations on composition and technique, and will also examine aspects of the special relationship that exist between photography and architecture.
