Vancouver Urbanarium Society –  To Build Law Screening & Panel Discussion

To Build Law is a screening and panel discussion that looks at how laws and public policy shape what gets built, preserved, or demolished. The documentary follows the German collective of architects Bplus and their project HouseEurope!, which proposes legislation to incentivize renovation over demolition and new construction. A panel discussion will connect the films themes to Vancouver and BC context, focusing on how legal frameworks influence the value of existing buildings and on how they could and should be changed.
