Women in Architecture (WIA) – Career Paths in Architecture
There are many directions one can take with one’s career following an architectural education. A dynamic group of women working in and around the field of architecture will each do a very brief presentation of the varying paths on which architecture has taken them. Presentations to be followed by panel discussion.
Presenters
- Juli Kennedy – Strategic Planner for Lower Mainland Facilities Management for Fraser Health
- Nancy Stern, who divides her time between being a sole practitioner and YVR’s in-house architect
- Sylvie Gagnon – Project Manager at Kirsten Reite Architecture, as well as AIBC council member.
- Stella Boyland – architectural designer and cofounder of The Aviary coworking studio.
- Patricia Darling – Project Manager, Facilities Development with the City of Vancouver
- Pauline Thimm – intern architect & project manager with DIALOG specializing in facilities for higher-education institutions.
