Wood WORKS! BC – A Hybrid CLT Solution: CFS/CLT Residential Tower
The Katerra Canada Mass Timber team will present a novel mass timber structural system suited for residential towers, 6-12 stories. The approach uses a hybrid light-gauge steel and CLT approach and has potential for cost and schedule savings compared to concrete and full mass timber (glulam & CLT) systems. The team will share system details, challenges, innovations, and use cases, as well as a case study.
