This session is part of AIBC’s 2020 Fall Professional Development Series
Over 20% of Canadian adults identify as having a disability, and this number is rising as our population ages. 70% of Canadians believe that all new buildings should be universally accessible. Are you ready for the future? There are many things of great importance that architecture can offer, but a building that contributes to a stronger community over the long term is probably the most important. This session will leave you understanding the critical role you play in rethinking how we design the built environment, along with practical information on how you can design spaces for everyone, everywhere.
