In Passing: Jacqueline (Jackie) L. Buchan

August 31, 2017

Jackie Buchan It is with much sadness that the Architectural Institute of B.C. acknowledges the passing of Ms Jacqueline (Jackie) L. Buchan. Jackie passed away on Saturday, August 12.

She joined the AIBC in 2006, working closely with the Professional Conduct and Illegal Practice team and committee members. As a trained Paralegal, she was instrumental in developing the illegal practice program, an initiative that continues to this day to serve in the best interest of the public. Jackie also served as the AIBC Freedom of Information Officer.

Jackie will be remembered for her professionalism, sense of fairness and, on a personal note, her zest for life and quirky sense of humour.

She was a beloved staff member of the AIBC and will be greatly missed.

Thoughts are with Jackie’s family, friends, colleagues and all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. As for Iggy, Jackie’s canine companion who accompanied her most days to the office, we are happy that he has found a new home with a family friend whose garden is often visited by hummingbirds.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the B.C. Cancer Foundation.
