Call for Question Developers — Examination for Architects in Canada

February 17, 2014

The Committee for the Examination for Architects in Canada (CExAC) would like to invite registered architects and recently retired architects with a minimum of 10 years of experience to apply to be part of the 2014 ExAC Question Development session.

Question development sessions are generally held over a 4 consecutive day period in Ontario and Quebec in April each year.

Interested applicants are asked to submit their resumes for consideration by the CExAC.  Successful applicants will be contacted with respect to their availability for the scheduled session dates.  You must be prepared to commit for the full 4-day session and training will be provided for new question writers at the outset of the session.  Question developers will be required to sign and adhere to the ExAC Confidentiality Agreement.

Travel, accommodation and meal costs will be covered and a modest honorarium is offered to acknowledge the work being undertaken.   The mix of professionals will vary every year based on regional representation, as well as availability of question writers in both English and in French.

We encourage experienced architects to take part in the continued development of the Canadian licensing exam for the future of the profession.

Submissions of Interest for the 2014 Question Development session should be made by February 28, 2014 to Jon Clark, Co-National ExAC Administrator at jonc@oaa.on.ca.  Please be sure to include a current CV.
