The 2017 Oral Review schedule is now available for Intern Architects and Broadly Experienced Applicant (BEA) candidates to plan their path to registration for the year.
2017 Oral Review Schedule
Winter Oral Review Dates: February 16; February 20; February 21
- Application Period: Thursday, January 12 – Thursday, February 2, 2017 (at 5 p.m.)
- Review Workshop: Monday, January 30 at 6 p.m.
- RSVP now for the Oral Review Workshop
Spring Oral Review Dates: June 13; June 15; June 21
- Application Period: Tuesday, May 2 – Monday May 29, 2017 (at 5 p.m. or submitted at workshop)
- Oral Review Workshop: Monday, May 29 at 6 p.m.
- RSVP link will be available online closer to the date
Fall Oral Review Dates: October 18; October 19; October 24
- Application Period: Monday, September 11 – October 2, 2017 (at 5 p.m.)
- Oral Review Workshop: Monday, September 25 at 6 p.m.
- RSVP link will be available online closer to the date
Those interested in taking the Oral Review are required to submit an application form during the specific registration period for each round. Following the application closing deadline, AIBC staff will confirm your eligibility and contact you to confirm your assigned Oral Review date and provide further details.
February Oral Review Applications and Workshop
Applications
The application period for the February 16, 20 and 21 Oral Reviews is now open. The deadline for applications is Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 5 p.m. The Oral Review is an interview-based examination open to Intern Architects who have:
- Completed and logged at least 2800 hours; and
- Completed the required AIBC courses.
Applications must be received by Thursday, February 2, 2017 along with a supervising architect’s letter and fee payment. Eligibility will be confirmed by the Registration and Licensing department. Visit the internship website for complete details and to download the application form.
Free Oral Review Preparation Workshop
A free Oral Review Preparation workshop will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 6 p.m. Attendance is highly recommended for all Intern Architects and Broadly Experienced Applicant (BEA) candidates preparing for their Oral Review. Mentors of Intern Architects are also welcome. Please RSVP in advance to reserve your seat.
