As a self-regulated profession, the importance of clearly articulating the AIBC’s regulatory authority is paramount. Understanding how the Architects Act — the legislation that governs the regulation of the profession of architecture in B.C. and represents the highest order of legal authority — is supported by additional documents is fundamental to ensuring excellence in architectural practice.
The infographic and subsequent descriptions and links to each of the associated regulatory documents, located on the new Regulatory Authority webpage, make key information easier to find by bringing previously disparate elements together on a single page. The infographic illustrates the relationships that exist between various AIBC governance resources.
