Vancouver School Board Career Programs
Lord Byng Secondary has at least four Grade 12 students looking for architecture work experience placements (30 to 40 hours total). Are you interested in welcoming one or more of these students to help them better understand what being an architect is all about?
The students could be responsible for real work if they have the skill, but, they must always be mentored (supervised). Areas of interest include working with architects, designers, permits, modelling, planning, customer meetings and finance. The students would prefer active participation when possible; however, they realize that they may just be observing in some cases.
Most of the students would be willing to miss a day or two of school. They prefer after school, weekends, early evening or any school holiday including winter, spring and summer break. There are students keen to start as soon as possible.
