In an effort to strengthen and align the duties and responsibilities of AIBC registrants who serve on Advisory Design Panels, council has introduced Council Rules 7: Advisory Design Panels.
The Council Rules cover length of appointments, professional conduct expectations and conflict of interest considerations as well as an extension of eligibility from solely Architects AIBC to Retired Architects AIBC, when appropriate. Members and all other AIBC registrants are also explicitly reminded of the prohibition to lobby or influence design panels in any way.

For additional information, please review Bulletin 65: Advisory Design Panels – Standards for Procedures and Conduct, revised accordingly. The Bulletin explains the application of the Council Rules, as well as providing design criteria and protocols for consideration by Advisory Design Panels.
