The most respected professionals in Canada were revealed in a recent poll created by Insights West. The survey was conducted between May 26 and June 2 and looked at 27 different careers. Canadians were asked to share if they had a positive or negative opinion of each of the professions.
The results were recently released and architects were included in the top 10 of the list, ranking 6th overall with 87% of responders saying they had a “very positive or somewhat positive” opinion towards the profession. Also included in the top 10 were nurses, doctors, scientists, farmers, veterinarians, teachers, engineers, accountants and dentists.
This is the second year in a row that architects have been in Insight West’s top 10 list. In the 2016 poll results, Architects ranked 7th overall, with 83% of responders having a very or somewhat positive opinion about the profession.
The 2017 poll was based on an online study conducted from May 26 to June 2, among a sample of 1,257 Canadian adults. The margin of error is +/- 2.8 percentage points.
